Itinerary :
Day01: Lisbon
Today we will discover Lisbon. On the right bank of the broad Tagus river estuary, the capital of Portugal graciously reclines over rolling hills. Visit of Lisbon will be with a driver English speaker who will show you the more typical areas of the city You will have a good and nice lunch, in a panoramic restaurant with views to the famous bridge. Free time to relax, and,by the afternoon, we will have the typical – Fado show – in fado Café Luso, the most renowned fado in Portugal. Founded in 1.927 its history is the history of Fado music, since all major singers and musicians performed there. Located in the barrio alto district, one of the most typical and historically rich in Lisbon. Access to the Fado restaurant will be by your own, better by taxi, due the small streets of the Fado´s area.
Day02: Lisbon – Coimbra
We will depart to Porto thought Coimbra. Coimbra was the capital of Portugal during the Middle Ages, but it was the Renaissance that transformed the city into a place of knowledge, when Dom João III (1521-57) decided to move the University to the city on a definitive basis. A Private guide will be waiting for us. We will visit Coimbra, the city and its university.
Day03: Coimbra – Douro Valley wine area
Departure and we will arrive to the Douro Valley. Accommodation will be In the midst of the Douro demarcated wine region, on the road from Mesão Frio to Régua, is the Solar da Rede, with its breathtaking view over the River Douro. Ideally located within a 27-hectare vineyard, this 18th century manor house offers visitors the chance to sample the reality of local vineyard life, whilst reliving the ways of Port savouring. First visit will be to a winery, founded with the family’s Douro valley vineyards. The vineyards explored by the company belong to the family’s assets for more than 600 years.
Day04: Porto
Porto is the second city in Portugal and sits at the mouth of the Douro River. On the south bank are the Port Wine 'caves' where the blending of the famous Port Wine takes place. The wine is produced in the terraced vineyards of the upper reaches of the river around Regua and Pinhao. Today we will have a visit to a wine cellar. Porto wine cellars, was founded along XVI century. The cellars calem belong to the same family during generations. Visit to the cellars, explanation of the production of the wine and a dégustation. After the wine cellar, we will made a cruise by the Douro, an opportunity to admire the old city of Porto with its typical houses, the hustle and bustle of Ribeira, the old cathedral and the 5 bridges. Cruise takes 55 minutes. Lunch will be served in a restaurant located in the Douro River, with fantastic views to the river and its bridge. Continuation on this route will be perfect via Rias Baixas, with stop of 1 night and visit the area. You can finish in Santiago de Compostela.
